I visited with my 80-year old Great Uncle and his wife while I was passing through Orlando, FL. They had lots of needle point (?) hanging around the house. Some of the lettering was pretty interesting, take a look.
I think the ‘V’ was done in a nice way.
I really dig the capitals on this one.
This is the sign that greets you when you pull into the driveway. Pretty welcoming, huh?
And like most designers, I have an appreciation for fine design, even if it’s not in my industry. My great uncle and his wife had some really great pieces of furniture, below:
The two photos above are of a piano chair (and foot detail) that belonged to my great uncle’s mother–we’re talking like late 1800s, early 1900s. Pretty sweet.
